Key update

I am happy to say that last night at about 12:30 am Evan had a brilliant idea. I had searched the entire house and even tried to shake the couches in the hope that I might hear the jingling of the keys. Last night Evan turned the entire couch upside down and began banging on the boards underneath. At first we could not hear any sound but the more he hit it the more we heard. Apparently the keys were lodged in the depths of the couch and needed to be knocked loose before they could be found. They were so far down in the couch that we thought about taking it apart from the bottom. We also found an RC Willey gift card that had been lost. I called to check the balance and it expired June 2, 2008. Dang! That is the luck!

Key Thief

(Me) "Rylie and Saige, Do you know where Daddy's keys are?"
(Rylie) "No Mom"
(Saige) " Uh huh"
(Me) " Saige did you take Daddy's key (to my car) off of his desk?"
(Saige) "Yes!"
(Me) "Where are they?"
(Saige) "At the bank."
(Me) "What? At the bank?" Well, I obviously knew that they weren't at the bank since it would take keys to get to the bank in the first place.
(Me) "Saige did you move Daddy's keys?"
(Saige) "Yes, Mom."
(Me) "Where did you put them?"
(Saige) "They are outside in the grass."
(Me) This sounded like a much more likely answer so I walked the yard over and over again, only to find no keys. So, I asked again.
(Saige) "They are in the street, by the sidewalk"
(Me) Again, a complete possibility...I look and look...no keys. I ask again.
(Saige) "They are in the ice cream truck going home."
(Saige) "They are in the yellow fire truck."
(Me) Okay, at this point (after an hour and a half of searching) I am at the end of my rope. Here is a quick explanation as to why.

Last week Amy called and asked if I would cut Drew's hair. I was happy to do so and needed to run to the salon to get my shears. Amy came over, I ran to the salon, came back and cut Drew's hair. I had been home for about an hour and needed to find my keys. Amy had left and I looked and searched the house. They were no where to be found. Evan came home and searched as well and still found no keys. Because I had only gone a short distance (from the car to the house) I thought the only possibility was that one of the girls took the keys and put them in Amy's diaper bag. I called Amy and she too searched and we still had no keys. It is now a week later and I have yet to find my keys. I had been using Evan's key to my car (the only other one in existence) until this little incident today.

After having checked the dog's crate for the key (an hour and a half earlier), I decided to pull her pillow completely out of the crate and guess where the key was? It was stored nicely under the pillow of the crate.

I pulled Saige aside and began talking to her about not hiding the keys. Just when I am about to finish my lecture Rylie decides to pipe in with some valuable information.

(Rylie) "Mom, Saige didn't take the key...I did!"
(Me) " Rylie, why didn't you tell me where the key was when I asked 9 million times?"
(Rylie) "Because Mom, I wanted to tell you where it was AFTER you found it."



Now the question is...Who took my keys (which are still missing) and where are they hidden?

Rylie's Point of View

So the other day Val was doing hair and Saige didn't want to hang with Dad, so I took Rylie with me to do a few errands.  As we were driving to our destination, Rylie asked if she could take some pictures with my phone.  She loves taking pictures with my camera, so I thought I'd let you see her point of view, from the back of our car.  Oh, and she loved the ice cream we had.

We're not going to Disney land?

Yesterday, after leaving Taylor & Jill's house with some very dirty little girls Rylie posed a question. What are we doing tomorrow? As I preceded to tell her of the plans for the day she informed me that she wanted to go to Disney land. I replied with " Well, I don't think we will get to go to Disney land tomorrow...maybe some day though." Rylie got this sad little look on her dirty face and in a broken hearted voice asked "We're not going to Disney land?"




I'm not even sure where she got the idea that we would be going to disney land. It was never an option or even brought up at any time that I can think of. She was so cute and so sad that our Monday afternoon didn't involve a quick trip to Disney land.

We will soon be a family of 5!!!!

Many of you have wondered when we are going to add to our family. It appears that this will be happening sooner than we planned but we will welcome our new little one with love and excitement.






Now we need to start thinking of names....Please let us know if you have any great ideas.

















Our new addition is an AKC registered Weimaraner . She is currently only 6 weeks old and will not be available until she reaches 8 weeks. We got to meet her and her parents today and we're excited to get her on the 20th.

100. First and foremost, I am never sarcastic.  I can't believe people like that...

99. If I had a choice between Heaven and Playing Basketball, and Hell and playing Hockey.  I'd go with Hell and Hockey.

98. I love hockey ;)

97. I love soccer, especially European soccer and by far the English Premier League

96. Val and I play Co-Ed Soccer every Saturday night (Go Sometime United FC!!)

95. I will soon be in state of disarray when the Stanely Cup Finals end.

93. I enjoy long walks on the beach and sunsets....oh sorry wrong kind of post...I do like the beach and enjoy a beautiful sunset but mostly for playing on the beach and taking pictures

My next most memorable memory, of when i was young, was of me sitting in my grandmother's current house looking at a picture of me when I was 1 or 2 trying to remember that time the picture was taken. I think I was 4.  I was sitting in a brown chair in the front living room next to our old school TV in a box wood cabinet thing.  The picture of me was me in a diaper with no shirt on outside and my hair was the color of my diaper: white.

83. Growing up I played so many sports my parents finally had to ask me to choose between a few cause it was getting out of hand.

I once, with a couple of my friends (not to be named, Dan and Ryan) egged this Van full of girls.  They ended up chasing us for awhile and at one terribly stupid driving moment I ended up turning down a dead end street and when I went to back up out of the dead end street I hit a fence post which ripped the front bumper off the front of my dads car.  My friend  proceeded to pull the rest of the bumper off the car and somehow shoved the bumper in the back seat with him.  We finally ditched the Van full of girls, headed to my friends house and performed car surgery to reattach the bumper.  I had to buy a $100 turn light to fix it...mostly.  My Dad never new the bumper was only hanging on by one maybe two screws.

81. 81 was my hockey jersey number in High school, because my favorite number is 9.  9 was already taken, see Dad I am good at Math.

80. A few weeks maybe a month later I was driving Kendall to a baseball practice or something and a guy pulled out in front of me and we slammed into him.  I wished I hadn't bought that new turn light for $100 dollars, because the guy had to pay for the damages, which covered up any evidence of my previous misdeeds. FYI - The bumper stayed intact even in the accident, man we did wonders with those few screws.

79.  If you haven't noticed, I suck at spelling, grammar, english, and writing in comprehendible sentences.

78. I sucked at Math in college but I can create a complicated calculator in a programming language using Algebraic formulas, but give me a Math book and I go Utarded.

77. I will own a Zamboni some day.

76. I want to open a hockey rink some day, I just need to find someone to help with the funding.  I want to teach people how to play hockey. Also so I can play hockey anytime I want. (Do you know anybody would like to help back a ice hockey rink?)

I once traveled to California on my birthday, my cousins proceeded to tell me, once we got there, that Denny's gave you a free meal on your birthday.  We went to Denny's and I got a free meal.  It was my 16th birthday. I was hoping for more on my 16th birthday, but I found the Denny's pancakes were quite fulfilling, more literally than anything.

63. The highest cliff I've jumped off was supposedly measured at 55 feet high off the water.  That hurt.

62. The funniest story I've ever heard is about someone I know jumping off a 80 foot cliff at lake powel, but that's not about me so I wont tell the story, but beleive me it's funny.

61. My most embarrassing moment happen in front of a girl I was dating at the time, and if front of my mom.  Which by the way I never go a year without someone bringing it up.  I wont repeat it, but if you want to know the wrong version of the story ask my mom.  It has now become an urban legend.

31. I once built a set for a play at my school with some friends in my high school auditorium all night, We then at about 1 in the morning, brought out our paint ball guns and proceeded to have a paint ball fight. 

30. My friend, while playing that night, shot me point blank on my hand cause I was crouched up against a wall and he didn't see me, when he turned and saw me, his first reaction was to pull the trigger.  Ouch that's going to leave a mark, it did for a month.

A Project Finished!

Finally! A project at our house is finished. Evan and his friends worked hard to build the playground and Evan and I worked hard to build the frame and fill it with playground chips. The girls LOVE it and so do the neighbor kids.





Oh! And the second pic was taken from the roof. ( I think Evan just wanted an excuse to get up there)
